Unarguably, Angelo Gaja is the most renowned winemaker in Italy today! The stellar wines of Angelo Gaja hail from the Piedmont region of Italy which sits at the base of the Alps. The ancient Piedmontese city of Alba, south of Turin, boasts the vineyards of Barolo and Barbaresco. Made from the Nebbiolo grapes, the wines are marvelously complex, almost a work of art. These wines are so prestigious that by unanimous consent they were the first to receive the DOCG classification. Angelo Gaja is the producer who best symbolizes Barbaresco. He has become famous throughout the world. Many think that Gaja is the most gifted wine producer of his generation. Since its inception, the Gaja Winery has continuously evolved in ways that have always focused on meticulous care of and attention to the quality of its wines. Food is an expression of love and passion and should be about pleasure and exploration, traveling the world through the foods one eats. The evening will surely be an unbelievably memorable evening for food and wine lovers.

The Antinori family has been committed to the art of winemaking for over six centuries since 1385 when Giovanni di Piero Antinori became a member of the “Arte Fiorentina dei Vinattieri”, the Florentine Winemakers’ Guild. All throughout its history, twenty-six generations long, the Antinori family has managed the business directly making innovative and sometimes bold decisions while upholding the utmost respect for traditions and the environment. In 1924, Niccolò Antinori scandalized Tuscany by making a Chianti containing Bordeaux wine varieties from a plot known as Tignanello. Niccolò retired in 1966, to be replaced by his son Piero who was even more innovative. He investigated different types of barrique, stainless steel vats, and malolactic fermentation of red wines. Emboldened by the success of the 20% Bordeaux blend Tignanello, in 1978 Antinori launched Solaia – containing 80% Cabernet Sauvignon – from the neighboring vineyard. For nearly fifty years, Piero was the driving force behind one of Italy’s biggest success stories, Marchesi Antinori Wines, and a leader in the renaissance of all Italian wines. Tradition, passion, and intuition are the three driving forces that led Marchesi Antinori to establish itself as one of the most important winemakers of elite Italian wine.
